I’m security jobs all for having fun with Tannerite, but folks posting your explosive exploits online is a sure way to get the attention of those who’d like to see this banned. It’s designed to be used as a shot indicator. Try that out
Gasoline is marketed as engine fuel, but people can still use it to set things on fire (including their own possessions) and even cause harm to the user. That doesn’t mean gasoline should be banned because it can be used for purposes other than its intended purposes. If someone security jobs was really bent on using explosives for something nefarious banning Tannerite probably wouldn’t stop them.
Its not about nefarious people existing, as they do and always will. Its about the ease of access to making security jobs destructive devices. Look at all the ridiculous rules the BATF enforces for tiny little sears or mfg of simple baffles. They take it seriously, and anyone who’s ever been caught in their crosshairs know this. Anybody with a decent mechanical background could engineer a grenade out of tannerite, IED’s ect. Antics like this video will only help to get it banned sooner, or alarm some busy body politician to save more children through legislative acts. Shit like this happens ALL THE FUCKING TIME, it’s not that hard to fathom.

Anyway, security jobs I agree. People need to cool it with these tannerite videos. Use for it blow things up for kicks but just don’t film and post it online so it doesn’t get attention of the ATF and/or some idiot politician.
