I'm sure that California would classify pyramyd air an unmodified rifle length Vector as an AW but I'm fuzzy as to why. The text of the AWB refers to a pistol grip as protruding conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon. By looking at pictures of the Vector, the grip appears to actually be slightly pyramyd air above and behind pyramyd air the action of the weapon. If the Vector's grip does not qualify as a pistol grip, the limits on detachable pyramyd air magazines would not apply and a bullet button wouldn't be necessary. I think a fixed or pinned stock and fixed barrel extension would meet the overall length requirements. I'm sure there is a fault with my reasoning, but it would be cool if I was right.
CA legal versions of the KRISS Vector carbine come with a fixed stock, "bullet button" style maglock & a 10 round magazine from the factory. So, it would seem the manufacturer (KRISS-USA) has deemed it requires a fixed magazine in order to be CA legal. __________________ "If someone has a gun and is trying pyramyd air to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun. - Dalai Lama (Seattle Times, 05-15-2001).
The web of you hand can be positioned below the highest part of the exposed trigger. Its a pistol grip. __________________ AW flowchart links: Pistol Flow Chart Rifle Flowchart Shotgun Flowchart pyramyd air This is awesome! Good job Atlantic Firearms!
But if the Vector's grip is not a "conspicuously beneath the action" pistol grip, it would not trigger AWB type restrictions. The mag lock could be removed and the weapon put in an out-of-state configuration.

The mag lock could be removed and the weapon put in an out-of-state configuration. The manufacturer (KRISS-USA) doesn't seem to think so, which is why they install a maglock for the firearms they sell in the CA civilian market. __________________ "If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun. - Dalai Lama (Seattle Times, 05-15-2001).

What you're missing is that "protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon" is not the phrase that defines the term "pistol grip." Rather, the phrase "pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon" is defined by state regulations. Quoting 11 CCR 5469(d):
Quote: pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon means a grip that allows for a pistol style grasp in which the web of the trigger pyramyd air hand (between the thumb and index finger) can be placed below the top exposed portion of the trigger while firing. __________________ "The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire." -- Robert A. don't forget the muzzle extension. Ah, beat me to it. Though I'm pretty sure they made that extension way longer than they needed to. __________________ . Click Here --> What Can You Do to Help Riverside County? <-- Click Here . California Reloading Club - IE Section
Ah, beat me to it. Though I'm pretty sure they made that extension pyramyd air way longer than they needed to. Not really, it's barely longer than the barrel, maybe a half inch or so. Someone should come out with a pinky trigger. __________________ Do I look like I'm ready for homework?
